**Have you seen any migrant birds at your feeder this winter? If so be prepared to tell us about them.
**Do the following: (younger students activity on page 71)
Choose one species of migrating bird, and using a map of the world or of the area of migration, trace its route of travel from its winter home to its summer home. Place the map in your notebook. Write a paragraph about this bird and draw or cut out and paste a picture of this bird on a piece of paper for your notebook.
Please feel free to modify this to meet your students needs...especially 2nd and 3rd graders!!! For example, a few facts instead of a paragraph would be fine. The point of this activity is to familiarize your child with a particular migrating bird and it's journey.

Don't make these kids do homework, they don't get to go outside to play. They will get fat. This is why I don't give my students homework. What kind of a school are you trying to run.
